“Who you are, is where you have been.” Who Liz Naccarato is and the places important to her are eloquently portrayed through her music in a newly released collection of original songs on the album History.
Naccarato began her piano studies at age 6 and won her first piano competition at 9. A native of Texas, she studied and performed classical music at University of Southern California and universities in the Southwest before moving to Tacoma to teach piano, music theory, and musical theater at Puget Sound’s Community Music Department.
Naccarato’s musical composition has been described as a style influenced by impressionism and the Romantic era. While sometimes categorized as “new age,” it does not fit neatly into that genre. Rather it is solid and compelling writing that enables listeners to relax and explore new places of their own making. Naccarato’s previously released albums include Jarrell’s Cove, Stone Cottage, North Sycamore, and One Piano.
